Renewables
Renewable Electrical Installations
Look toward the future with APS NW’s renewable electrical installations.
Investing in renewables will help reduce the use of fossil fuels whilst reducing energy bills. Both home and business owners will benefit from the investment in renewable energy technology. By installing any domestic or commercial renewables, you will increase sustainability of the home or businesses at the same time as reducing carbon emissions.
APS NW check every aspect of the feasibility of all installations. APS NW have extensive experience and knowledge, giving advice of the best solution for each individual domestic or commercial electrical installation. APS NW understand the importance of designing the best solution for our customers first time. Quality is important.

Solar PV & battery storage
Solar power projects generate robust financial returns. Producing power onsite is much more affordable than buying it from the grid. Current government policy also means, for example, that companies can reduce their tax liabilities for investments they make in solar systems. APS takes a 4-stage approach to Solar PV projects:
How it works
Desktop Design
Development
Firstly, we collect the right data to assess the potential Solar PV project. APS use the following data to produce an accurate desktop design:
- At least 365 days of Half Hourly data (this can be obtained from your current electricity provider).
- Location of area to be considered for Solar.
- Most recent electricity bill – detailing rates and import kVa capacity.
APS then issue a desktop design to establish whether or not a solar PV system meets the businesses investment criteria.
Formal Offer
A formal offer will be provided using the results of stage 2. This offer will be fully specified by capturing all the relevant information in the development studies.
We will confirm the system design and issue a program of works.
A project manager will be assigned from APS to liaise with the person internally to make sure we operate within the sites Health & Safety expectations. Once an agreement has been reached by all stakeholders, APS will confirm a proposed start date.
In the development phase, APS will start to undertake the following tasks:
- G99 Application to Distribution Network Operator – dependant on size of system and geographical location there may be a cost associated. Drone survey – to assess the condition of roof.
- Electrical infrastructure assessment – to assess how we integrate the system into your supply.
- Structural assessment – Our engineer will provide a report to confirm whether or not the integrity of the structure is compromised by the additional weight.
Project Delivery
Two weeks prior to the proposed start date, we will have a pre start meeting. All key stakeholders will attend to finalise the program of works.
Our dedicated Project Manager will directly communicate with you through-out the installation process to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum.
